Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Lope (“Lope,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Lope iOS application, related websites (including lope-ai.com), and services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. What Lope is

Lope is an iOS app that helps you discover a business path, follow a personalized roadmap of tasks and subtasks, track rank and XP, and optionally chat with an AI coach scoped to your current work. Some features require a paid subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country or region) and capable of forming a binding contract. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. If you use Lope on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

3. Account and security

You may create an account with email (including one-time codes), Sign in with Apple, and/or Google. You must provide accurate information and keep credentials and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.

You may sign out or delete your account in Profile. Account deletion permanently removes your Lope account and associated progress as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to limited retention required by law, security, or accounting (for example Apple transaction records).

4. The Service — free and paid

Week 1 of your roadmap is available without a paid subscription.
Later weeks and continued full access may require an active subscription.
Subscription plans (for example Operator monthly and Grinder yearly) unlock the same product features; they differ in billing period and price as shown at purchase.
AI coach usage may be metered with credits. Credits may be consumed when a coach session opens. At zero credits, send and voice input may be disabled; you can still complete tasks manually.
We may change free-tier limits, credit pools, or plan packaging with notice where required. Changes do not affect amounts already charged for the current paid period except as required by law or Apple.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation (Apple)

If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate shown in the App Store.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or App Store account subscriptions). Lope does not provide a separate in-app cancellation flow for Apple subscriptions.
Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription where applicable under Apple’s rules.

Prices are shown in the app and App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies; contact Apple Support for refund requests.

6. AI coach and generated content

The AI coach uses third-party large language models via our servers. Replies are generated from your messages plus relevant context (for example your profile, path, and current task). Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate. You remain solely responsible for decisions you make and for any business, financial, or personal outcomes.

Lope is not a law firm, medical provider, licensed financial adviser, or tax professional. Do not treat coach output as professional advice. Do not submit passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, health data, or other highly sensitive information to the coach.

7. Roadmaps, paths, and results

Path matches, fit displays, roadmaps, and tasks are tools to help you take action. We do not guarantee income, clients, rankings, or any specific business result. Task text and quantities are generated or rewritten for your profile; you should verify facts that matter before relying on them.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Violate law or third-party rights
Abuse, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Attempt to access other users’ data, model prompts, API keys, or non-public systems
Bypass subscription, credit, or paywall controls
Use the coach or Service to create illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for Lope or others.

9. Your content and our license

You retain ownership of content you submit (for example quiz answers, profile details, and chat messages). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service (including generating roadmaps and coach replies).

10. Our intellectual property

The Service—including software, design, branding, curricula blueprints, and documentation—is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchase), Google (optional sign-in), cloud hosting and authentication providers, AI model providers, and subscription tooling (for example RevenueCat). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Links or video search results (for example YouTube search opened from a task) are third-party sites we do not control.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

14. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted where you live.

15. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue features. We may update these Terms by posting a new version and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be noted in the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where local law requires additional consent.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Lope operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with mandatory protections, those protections still apply. Courts in that jurisdiction may hear disputes, subject to your mandatory rights to bring claims in your home country where applicable.
